TEN Media is a technology company that develops Business Intelligence systems to aid in: (1) the prevention and mitigation of food-borne diseases that are associated with the human consumption of shell eggs and (2) the targeted, rapid tracking and recall of at-risk products.

The TEN Media Solution for Shell Eggs

After years of extensive research, TEN Media has developed a proprietary comprehensive table-to-harvest traceability and early warning system to identify at risk whole shell eggs on an egg-by-egg basis.   

The TEN Media Solution monitors and records the production, storage and transportation of eggs in real-time, ensuring that all eggs utilizing the TEN Media Solution were handled with the highest regard for safety, quality and freshness, and in accordance with safety practices mandated by regulation and law, as applicable. Every consumer can now, for the first time, indentify the grade, freshness and origin of each individual egg – without the need to refer to the egg carton – through two simple steps.

(1) Look at the "Use-by" Date

The shell of every egg is clearly marked with a certified “Use by” fresh date that lets consumers know right away, just by looking at an egg, whether it’s still fresh.

(2) Look up the egg's ID code

TEN Media also marks the shell of every egg with a unique ID code that allows every egg to be traced to the farm where it was harvested while also providing important safety, quality and grading information. Consumers just need to enter their egg’s ID code into The Egg Tracer^SM tool on the homepage of this website. In the event of a recall, access to this information is particularly important due to the potential risk of exposure to disease or tampering.
